How to invoke

Use ap-design-polish on this prototype. Reduce redundant labels, nested
containers, and competing emphasis. Preserve the expressive typography,
illustrations, and working mobile navigation.

For feedback without edits:

Use ap-design-polish in audit-only mode. Review the current desktop and mobile
views and suggest the most valuable cleanup. Do not change files.

What it does

Polish makes one focused pass through an established direction:

Remove or simplify elements that do not contribute to comprehension, hierarchy, identity, or usability.
Resolve the strongest generic treatments and craft issues, such as competing effects, weak type hierarchy, weight saturation, accidental text collisions, alignment, or image crops.

It then verifies the result and repairs regressions caused by its edits. Maximalist, playful, and dense designs can keep their identity. There is no deletion quota or requirement to make every interface minimal.

A deliberate overlap is preserved only when the brief names it, it stays easy to read, and it survives responsive reflow. Otherwise polish restores clear separation. It reduces overused bold roles selectively instead of flattening the design’s typographic character.

What it preserves

The skill protects meaningful content, visible form labels, accessible names, focus, feedback, navigation cues, and working interactions. A request to polish authorizes focused edits; an audit-only request remains read-only. Static prototype changes stay inside the supplied concept directory.

Reading the result

The report explains what was removed, simplified, or preserved; up to three supported signals of generic design; visual evidence; and functional checks. Its AI-tell score runs from 0 to 10, with higher values meaning more generic or overdesigned treatment. This is a subjective design assessment, not an AI-authorship detector. It is self-assessed unless an independent critic actually supplied it, and is omitted when visual evidence is unavailable.

Independent critique is optional for standalone polish. When requested, it uses a fresh critic without prior screenshots, feedback, or scores.
